Central Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) of Taiwan, delegated by Chairman Chin-Tsair Tsay, paid a visit to the National Deposit Insurance Fund of Hungary (NDIF) from January 4 to 7, 2005. During the 4-day intensive meetings, the two corporations not only exchanged valuable experiences in implementing deposit insurance, but brought into discussion and reached consensus on the detail of further collaboration. Extensive talks cover a number of major issues such as interrelationship among financial safety net players, reimbursement system, resolution mechanisms of failed banks, and public awareness program. The meetings are believed to provide an opportunity to help strengthen the spirit of bilateral cooperation and communication among IADI members.
