The Central Deposit Insurance Corporation, Taiwan (CDIC) held a virtual meeting on 24 May 2022 with the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) of the United Kingdom.  The CDIC President Mr. William Su, Chair of the meeting, led three Executive Vice Presidents and staff from relevant departments to join the presentation and discussions delivered by Ms. Emma Barrow, FSCS Head of Communication.  Ms. Barrow shared experiences in the areas relating to the FSCS’s external communication mechanism and strategy, mandates and work of Communication Department, uses and monitoring of social media and crisis communication planning.

 The CDIC and the FSCS have been active and significant members of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI).  Both parties will continue to share information and exchange experience in the future to help advance their respective deposit insurance and compensation mechanisms, and to further protect the rights and interests of depositors.
