The Central Deposit Insurance Corporation, Taiwan (CDIC) held a MOU renewal virtual meeting on 16 December 2021 with the Deposit Insurance of Vietnam (DIV). This meeting was co-chaired by CDIC Chairman Dr. Norman H. Chu and DIV Chairman Mr. Pham Bao Lam, and attended by CDIC’s President William Su, Executive Vice President Yvonne Fan and staff of the International Relations and Research Office as well as DIV’s Deputy General Director Mrs. Phan Thi Thanh Binh and staff of the Research and International Cooperation Department. In the meeting, both sides shared experiences in the issues relating to technical assistance, updated information on financial, banking and deposit insurance in each jurisdiction on a regular basis and discussed about the roles of the two organizations in APRC and IADI’s activities.

The CDIC and the DIV have maintained a 15-year good cooperative partnership since the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in 2006. Both parties will continue to share information and exchange experience in the future to help advance their deposit insurance systems, and to further protect the rights and interests of depositors.
