The International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) held the 20^th Annual General Meeting and 71^st Executive Council (EXCO) meetings including the Core Principles and Research Council Committee (CPRC), other Council Committee meetings, Technical Committee meetings and Regional Committee meetings virtually from November to early December 2021.

In the Annual General Meeting, IADI Strategic Plan for 2022-2026 and the Business Plan for 2021-2024 were approved. CDIC President Mr. William Su participated in the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee Virtual Ad Hoc Meeting and made a progress report on arrangements of the CDIC's hosting of the 2021 IADI APRC Technical Assistance Virtual Workshop. In addition, CDIC Executive Vice President (EVP) Ms. Yvonne Fan participated in the 71^st EXCO meetings, and chaired the CPRC meeting. The draft Guidance Paper on Ways to resolve a financial cooperative while keeping the cooperative structure and the work plan of the Reimbursement Technical Committee were approved, and new research topics were also discussed in the CPRC meeting. Furthermore, an IADI Outlook Conference was held at the end of the meeting period. The theme of the Conference is "Where we are and where we are going". The Conference shared with the participants the views of IADI's Partners on financial stability and deposit insurance and new IADI benefits in research, guidance, training and technical assistance. CDIC EVP Ms. Fan in the capacity of the CPRC Chairperson delivered a speech on the Conference.

IADI domiciled at the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland was established in May 2002. Currently it has 114 members, including 88 formal members, 9 associates and 17 partners. Since 2002, CDIC has been actively participating in IADI activities as a founding member of the Association, promoting important IADI activities and joining the decision making process as a member of the EXCO since 2003, which is responsible for IADI's major policies.
