CDIC President William Su led CDIC staff to participate in the 19th International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) Asia-Pacific Regional Committee (APRC) Annual Meeting, the International Conference and the CEO Dialogue, which were virtually hosted by the Malaysia Deposit Insurance Corporation (PIDM) in early August 2021.
Major administrative issues were reported and discussed during the meeting. President Su delivered a presentation regarding arrangements of the CDIC’s hosting of the 2021 IADI APRC Technical Assistance Workshop, which will be held in early December 2021. In addition, he also gave views and comments regarding the IADI 2022-2026 Strategic Goals in the hope of benefiting IADI’s developments in the future.
The International Conference was themed on COVID-19 Legacy and beyond: Building Operational Resilience and Recalibrating the Role of Deposit Insurance. Speakers discussed issues regarding digital tendency and a new role of deposit insurers in post-COVID era.
The CEO Dialogue was attended by high-ranking executives from the APRC member organizations, and participants shared their perspectives on strategic leadership in the new norm.
