CDIC Executive Vice President Robert L.I. Chen and Deputy Director of the International Relations and Research Office Harrison H.C. Hwang attended the 2012 IADI Executive Training Program entitled “Deposit Insurance Schemes: A Well Developed Legal Framework and Selected Legal Issues,” which was co-hosted by the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation from 13 to 16 November 2012 in Seoul, Korea. There were over 60 participants from supervisory agencies and deposit insurers of 25 countries. This training program focused mainly on the legal framework of deposit insurance systems with various topics, such as mandates, powers, governance, early detection, timely intervention, access to information and resolution process. CDIC Executive Vice President Robert L.I. Chen was invited to serve as a speaker to share Taiwan’s experience in early detection and timely intervention.
