Under the Vietnamese government's Financial Sector Modernization and Information Management System Project, the Deposit Insurance of Vietnam (DIV) conducted a study tour to the Central Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) for learning the Taiwan experiences in developing advanced deposit insurance system. The DIV delegation, 5 delegates in total, was led by Ms. Vu Thi Tram, Director of DIV Branch in Northern East. The CDIC organized intensive courses on the subjects of the framework of DIS, deposit insurance application management, risk-based premium system, risk management system, early warning system and experience in developing software and applications for it, conservatorship, and purchase and assumption process. The CDIC President Howard Wang led the other high-level managers from different departments to made presentations on the topics above. During the visit, there were active interactions between the DIV delegates and CDIC staffs to exchange information and opinions. The two parties have learnt from each other and agreed to keep close cooperation. During this visit, the delegation also visited the History Exhibition Hall of the CDIC.
