Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC) Director of Risk and Examination Mr. Paul Manga led Mr. Kelvin Mwambingu, Principal Officer of Human Resources and Administration and Mr. Stanley Milimu, Bank Resolution Officer to visit the CDIC in early July 2024. The CDIC Chairman William Su along with President Annie Cheng, Executive Vice President (EVP) Yvonne Fan and EVP Kuang-Hsi Huang cordially received the delegation.
The MOU experience sharing meetings were held on 3 and 4 July and chaired by two CDIC EVPs along with the colleagues from the Finance Department, Business Department, Risk Management Department, Resolution Department and International Relations and Research Office. Study topics on overview of deposit insurance system in Taiwan, funding management and target fund setting, public awareness, risk management and bank resolution (payout) were presented by the CDIC. Both sides discussed and shared experiences in these issues.
Since the CDIC signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the KDIC in 2019, both sides have actively interchanged through information exchanges and participation in meetings of international organizations. This time, KDIC delegation’s visit is beneficial not only to deepen the official relationships, but to enhance the bilateral cooperation between the two parties under the MOU.
