The European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI) held its 2023 Annual General Meeting and International Conference in late May 2023. The main theme of the International Conference was "Stability in the European Financial Market: The Indispensable Contribution of the DGSs and ICSs to the Safety Net in Regulatory and Environmental Changes". The Chairman of Financial Stability Institute Mr. Fernando Restoy delivered the keynote speech. Experts from the Financial Stability Board, the European Banking Authority, the World Bank, the European Commission, the European deposit insurers (DIs) and the CDIC Taiwan were invited to share their views and experiences in policy development and implementation of European crisis management and deposit insurance framework reform, and the role of DGSs and ICSs in crisis management.

The CDIC Executive Vice President Ms. Yvonne Fan was invited to deliver a presentation virtually. She introduced the CDIC's role in the financial safety net in Taiwan & risk management mechanisms and shared CDIC's experience in mitigating bank runs by enhancing liquidity monitoring, as well as DIs role in crisis management. She also exchanged views and opinions with other panelists in the Panel.
