The CDIC has long been committed to the promotion and enhancement of sustainable development, including environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance. In line with the Green Finance Action Plan put forth by the FSC, the CDIC established a Sustainability Committee in 2021 as its main policymaking body for related matters, and adopted the four major goals of “accountable governance,” “sustainable environment,” “friendly workplace,” and “financial inclusion” to promote and implement its ESG values. The CDIC began compiling its sustainability report in 2022, disclosing its sustainability related information in accordance with GRI Standards, the world’s most widely used standards for sustainability reporting. It is the CDIC’s hope that the general public and stakeholders will continue to observe and propel the CDIC in furthering the work of sustainable development. The CDIC Sustainability Report shall be issued annually in the future.
