The Central Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) has a long-term commitment to the promotion and enhancement of sustainable development, including environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance (collectively known as ESG). In line with the Green Finance Action Plan put forth by the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), the CDIC established a Sustainability Committee in 2021 as its main policymaking body for related matters. The CDIC adopted the four major goals of “accountable governance,” “sustainable environment,” “friendly workplace,” and “financial inclusion” to promote and implement ESG values. This first Sustainability Report, reviewing the year 2022 and published in 2023, aims to integrate core sustainability principles and international standards into the CDIC’s various management policies and operational performance, so as to deeply embed ESG values in our corporate culture.
