In order to comply with the government's efforts to gradually disclose the financial information of financial institutions, depositors can obtain relevant information by the following ways:
- Indexes of the financial operations of community financial institutions are published by CDIC in its Deposit Insurance Quarterly Bulletin and on CDIC website.
- Confidential information of the financial institutions cannot be provided by CDIC since the Financial Early-Warning System is operated under the authorization of the competent authority and is subject to the rule of the Government Information Disclosure Act. However, the public may visit the website of the competent authority, or refer to the following ways for further information of individual financial institution:
- Publicly listed financial institutions and non-publicly-listed government-run financial institutions are required to regularly publish operational information on their websites.
- Credit cooperatives are required to disclose financial information for the previous year in their annual reports and in local newspapers.
- Credit departments of farmers' and fishermen's associations are required at the beginning of each year to disclose financial information for the previous year in local newspapers.
