In our emblem, the two C's from the Central Deposit Insurance Corporation's acronym, CDIC, come together to form the silhouette of an ancient Chinese coin. This image symbolizes CDIC's service sphere: Deposit Insurance – Safeguarding Deposits. These twin C's also resemble two hands cupped together, a symbol of unity and protection. The Reflex Blue background represents the spirits of stability and efficiency. The Chromic Yellow of the twin C's represents the virtues of professionalism and service.
After financial institutions become insured by CDIC, pursuant to law, they shall display in every branch a large-sized sign stating that they are insured by CDIC, namely, the CDIC membership sign (see the picture at top), so it can be easily identified by depositors. On their counters they shall also display a small-sized CDIC membership sign, and in addition on their ATMs they shall affix a sticker indicating that they are participating in deposit insurance. In addition, in response to the increasing popularity of digital finance, the CDIC provides digital membership sign for insured institutions to place on their online banking official website. In this way, if depositors only deposit money in those financial institutions where these signs are displayed, they can in accordance with the law enjoy the protection provided by CDIC.
In addition, financial products provided by the insured institutions must be stated explicitly in the document whether they are insured by CDIC.
