The Central Deposit Insurance Corporation, Taiwan (CDIC) held a virtual meeting on 3 November 2020 with the Deposit Protection Fund of Uganda (DPF). This meeting was chaired by Ms. Yvonne Fan, Executive Vice President (EVP) of the CDIC, attended by Ms. Annie Cheng, EVP of CDIC, and staff from the Information Technology Department, the Resolution Department, and the International Relations and Research Office.
The virtual meeting started with the presentation delivered by the CDIC's Information Technology Department, introducing the CDIC's overall Information System framework. Further, the CDIC presented its Payout System and related payout procedures by the Resolution Department. Lastly, the CDIC answered DPF's questions.
In the future, the CDIC will continue to share expertise and experience with deposit insurers in other countries, to help respective organizations advance their deposit insurance systems, and to further protect the rights and interests of depositors.
