In order to promote mutual experience and information exchange between CDIC and the National Deposit Insurance Fund of Hungary (NDIF), two organizations signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formally initiate a bilateral cooperative relationship in June 2005.This year, for further enhancing cooperation, CDIC President William Su led a delegation to visit NDIF to proceed a MOU exchange meeting with NDIF’s Managing Director András Kómár on 6 December 2018, and discussed bilateral cooperation matters.
In the meeting, two organizations shared and exchanged the views on the recent development of respective deposit insurance systems and future challenges. CDIC delegates presented the deposit insurance system and the differential premium scheme in Taiwan. NDIF representatives presented experiences in deposit insurance stress testing and the risk-based contribution model in Hungary. In the future, CDIC and NDIF will continue to strengthen the deposit insurance systems in respective countries through bilateral exchanges of information and personnel, the provision of professional expertise and the sharing of experiences, with a view to enhancing the deposit insurance systems.
President Su also visited the European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI), and had a meeting with its Secretary General Dr. András Fekete-Györ who shared EFDI’s recent publications regarding the deposit insurance systems. Both sides shared and exchanged views on the recent development and future perspective of the deposit insurance systems, as well as on matters of mutual cooperation between IADI and EFDI in the future.
