The Central Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) and Fonds de Garantie des Depots et de Resolution (FGDR) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on November 4, 2013. The MOU establishes formal cooperative relations between the two sides with an aim to promote experience sharing, exchange and cooperation between Taiwan and France. CDIC Chairman David Sun and FGDR Chairman Thierry Dissaux signed the MOU on behalf of their respective organizations. CDIC Executive Vice President William Su and Mr. Dissaux represented the two sides at the MOU exchange held during the 12th Annual General Meeting of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. CDIC and FGDR are both full members of the IADI. Through the exchange platform provided by the association, the two sides have established friendly and mutually supportive cooperative relations. The signing of the MOU will further enhance exchanges and interactions between the two sides and pave the way for closer cooperation. In the future, CDIC and FGDR will carry out ongoing information and personnel exchanges to share expertise and experience, help their respective countries advance in the deposit insurance field, and further protect the rights and interests of depositors.
