The SEACEN Conference hosted by the Monetary Authority of Singapore was held in Singapore for 4 days from 9-12, July 2007. The speakers for the conference sessions were from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Reserve Board of Governors, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, International Monetary Fund, and the central banks/supervisory authorities and private sector institutions in Asia-Pacific region. The Conferences provided a forum for the exchange of views and sharing of experience on issues relating to building intervention and resolution framework for problem banks and strengthening financial architecture in the Asia-Pacific Region.
Mr. Lawrence L.C. Pan, Executive Vice-President of CDIC, on behalf of CDIC attended the SEACEN Conference. During the Conference, Mr. Lawrence L.C. Pan exchanged opinions with the representatives from central banks and banking supervisory agencies around the world in terms of Taiwan's financial supervisory and resolution of problem financial institutions.
