The Asian Development Bank (ADB) held an online workshop on Risk-Based Inspection from 11 to 12 November 2025. The workshop covered a wide range of topics, including the evolution of financial supervisory frameworks and approaches, experiences and challenges in implementing Basel III, stress testing, supervisory practices for systemically important banks, off-site supervision and on-site examination, and the application of SupTech. The discussions were comprehensive and highly informative.
Mr. Kuang-Hsi Huang, Executive Vice President of the CDIC, was invited to participate as a speaker for Session 6. In his presentation, he shared CDIC’s role within Taiwan’s financial safety-net framework, off-site monitoring and on-site inspection practices, and the use of supervisory technology. He also engaged in exchanges with ADB experts and representatives from the central banks of Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia.
