Chairman Hsien-Nung Kuei of the Central Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) together with Director-General Austin Chan of the Banking Bureau of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) paid a formal visit to the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (IDIC) on 4 August 2015 in an attempt to reinforce the partnership and promote bilateral cooperation on an ongoing basis between the financial safety net agencies of Taiwan and Indonesia. Chairman C. Heru Budiargo and Acting CEO Fauzi Ichsan of the IDIC gave a warm welcome to the delegation from Taiwan and shared the views and experiences with each other on the recent developments of the deposit systems, the current economic and financial status in both countries as well as their future cooperation. In addition, the delegation, under the assistance of the IDIC, visited the Indonesia Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan, OJK) to exchange observations and perspectives on issues relating to the financial market conditions and financial supervisory cooperation of Taiwan and Indonesia.
CDIC and IDIC formally established the bilateral cooperation relationship through signing the Letter of Exchange (LOE) on 18 May 2011 and had maintained close working relationship since then.
