In order to continuously strengthen the relationship between CDIC and Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC), CDIC Executive Vice President Robert L. I Chen led a delegation to attend the international seminar on “Introduction of the Integrated Deposit Insurance System of Korea” hosted by the KDIC in early May 2012 in Seoul, Korea. CDIC EVP Robert Chen was invited to deliver a speech to share the Taiwan's experience in the development of the deposit insurance system with all participants. KDIC Chairman & President Seung-Woo Lee and Executive Vice President Won-Tae Yi also received the CDIC delegation to further enhance the cooperative relation. In the future, both organizations will keep close cooperation through personnel exchange and information sharing in the hope of advancing respective deposit insurance schemes.
During the stay in Seoul, CDIC EVP Robert Chen also paid a visit to the Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) to share information and exchange experiences with its Executive Vice President Ho In on asset management issues including the current status of non-performing loans markets in two countries, and the management and disposal methods of problem assets.
