The delegation from Deposit Insurance of Vietnam (DIV) and Vietnam Development Forum (VDF) paid a visit to Taiwan in mid March 2012. The delegates included Mr. TRAN DANG KHAM, Head of Securities Studies Department, School of Banking and Finance, National Economics University; Ms. PHAM BAO KHANH, Manager of Banking Off-site Supervision, Deposit Insurance of Vietnam; and Ms. NGUYEN THI MINH HUE, Lecturer, School of Banking and Finance, National Economics University. In addition to the visit to the CDIC, the delegation also visited the Banking Bureau and the Securities and Futures Bureau of the Financial Supervisory Commission, the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Taiwan Futures Exchange.
The discussion topics mainly included the interrelationships among financial safety net players in Taiwan, the experiences in consolidated supervision of different financial sectors, the experiences in assessing soundness and stability of banking system and the experiences in establishing, managing and developing the Taiwan Futures Exchange.
