The European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI), in collaboration with the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Credit Institutions, Spain (Fondo de Garantía de Depósitos de Entidades de Crédito, FGD), held the 2025 Annual General Meeting and International Conferences from June 3 to 6, 2025. CDIC President Annie Cheng led a delegation to participate in the event.
The program centered around the main theme “Embracing the Future on Solid Grounds: Reinforcing Financial Stability” and featured four engaging panels. Topics included how monetary policy, concentration and regulation are shaping the European banking sector; the Crisis Management and Deposit Insurance (CMDI) reform; how to support growth and competitiveness while preserving sustainability in a changing economy.
CDIC Taiwan also took the opportunity to meet with the EFDI Chairperson Mr. Stefan Tacke and Secretary General Mr. Carlos Colao, the European Banking Authority (EBA) Chairperson Mr. José Manuel Campa, IADI Secretary General Ms. Eva Hüpkes, and the delegation from the Fondo Interbancario di Tutela dei Depositi of Italy (FITD), further enhancing business exchange and cooperation.
