In early April 2025, Yvonne Fan, Executive Vice President of CDIC participated in the Strategic Planning Meeting organized by the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) in Thun, Switzerland.
The meeting brought together Executive Council members, and Chairpersons of Regional Committees to engage in in-depth discussions and forward-looking planning on IADI’s role within the global financial governance framework. Core topics included strategic goals and key activities, member services, communication strategies, and international cooperation.
Ms. Fan participated in the meeting in her capacity as an Executive Council member and the Chairperson of the Analysis Council Committee. In addition to contributing to the discussions on the above core issues, she also actively focused on emerging issues such as technological innovation, social media, and artificial intelligence (AI).
During the meeting period, Ms. Fan also held discussions with other international deposit insurance partners to explore potential opportunities for collaboration. She warmly invited all participants to attend the upcoming Ad hoc Executive Council Meeting and Core Principles Conference, which will be held in Taipei in September, 2025.
