The Central Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) held a virtual meeting on 15 April 2025 with the National Deposit Insurance Fund of Hungary (NDIF). This meeting was co-chaired by CDIC President Ms. Annie Cheng and NDIF Managing Director Mr. András Kómár, and attended by relevant colleagues from both sides. During the meeting, NDIF shared its background and incentives for SCV test improvement, renewal of SCV structure, renewal of SCV evaluation methodology, and its approach to sector-wide SCV testing, followed by a Q&A session.
The CDIC and the NDIF have maintained a good cooperative partnership since the signing of Memorandum of Understanding in 2005. Both parties will continue to share information and exchange experience in the future to help advance their deposit insurance systems, and to further protect the rights and interests of depositors.
