CDIC President Mr. William Su and Executive Vice President Ms. Yvonne Fan attended the IADI 59th Executive Council meetings held by the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) and the FSI-IADI 9th Conference on “Crisis Management, Bank Resolution and Deposit Insurance: What’s Next and How to Prepare” in Basel, Switzerland in early September 2019.

President Su and Vice President Fan then attended the FSI-IADI Conference in Basel after the 59th EXCO meeting. Around 185 representatives from 68 jurisdictions attended the Conference. Key topics included Systemic banks: remaining impediments to resolvability, industry panel on resolvability - challenges and trade-offs for banks, challenges for resolution in small and emerging banking markets, and resolvability of systemic insurers.
