To further exchange bilateral experiences and share information so as to enhance the function of the deposit insurance system, the Central Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) and Hong Kong Deposit Protection Board (HKDPB) signed the Memorandum of Understanding in Hong Kong on 19 August 2014.
In order to continue strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two organizations, CDIC Executive Vice President William Su led a delegation to pay a visit to HKDPB in late-November 2017 and had meetings with its Deputy CEO Ms. Anita Chan and other colleagues. They shared and exchanged experiences and views on the recent developments of the respective deposit insurance systems, the public awareness promotion and the payout mechanism. In the future, the two organizations will keep the ties closer by exchanging of information and personnel, in the hope to enhance and advance both deposit insurance systems. CDIC delegates also paid a visit to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) to share information and exchange experiences in establishing recovery and resolution planning mechanism.
